Rodney King, dead at 47 years old

According to ABC/Yahoo News : Rodney King, who is known world wide from the videotaped beating by Los Angeles Police in 1991 that sparked the L.A. riots, was found dead at his Rialto, California home on Sunday.

According to police, King was found by his fiance, Cynthia Kelley, at the bottom of the swimming pool, in their home in California. A call was made to police at 5:25am this morning . When police arrived, CPR was done but King was unresponsive. His Fiance stated that King was drinking and smoking marijuana all night.

I pray that the paramedics came before the police. I hope this story was reported wrong and the paramedics tried to revive him and not the police. If it was the police... you already knew how this was going to end..... I'm just saying......

Rodney will be truly missed and your message "CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG" will live on forever.

Studying for my finals!

So I decided to take a few minutes to blog and listen to some music on Pandora before

hitting the books again. I am currently in Term 3 of my Nursing Program, which is 1/2 way through. Six more months and I'm done! It's not easy but it's worth it... Just to see my patients smile everyday is priceless! If anyone else is doing Nursing, give me a shout out... Peace and God Bless!! (:

Actress/Comedian Yvette Wilson dies at age 48.

Yvette Wilson a.k.a. "Andell" from Moesha and

The Parkers has passed on tonight from cervical cancer.

I'm so sad to hear and announce the passing of one my favorite TV -Actress/Comedian, Yvette Wilson, 48, a.k.a "Andell" from the hit shows The Parkers & Moesha and movies- Friday & House Party 2 & 3. Her battle with stage 4 cervical cancer has ended.

A friend, Jeffrey Pittle, who was also a cancer survivor, created a website for Yvette Wilson @ http://www.giveforward.com/supportyvettewilson to help raise $25,000 to get her cancer treatment, but was only able to raise $13,599. This money was also needed for medical supplies and transportation to and from medical facilities. Ms. Wilson was not only battling cervical cancer but was in need of a kidney transplant as well.

Yvette, May the Angels guide you to heaven because you are cancer free now! My heart and prayers goes out to her family, friends and fans. She will truly be missed! xoxo
